How to set up your scanner in eMDs

CGM eMDs Scanner Setup

Alert
Before you begin - you must ensure that you have a scanner that is TWAIN compatible!

There will be instances where your scanner icon within your eMDs will appear to be grayed out or inaccessible.

This would mean that your scanning profile has not been set up yet.

To get yourself started, follow the steps below:
1) Access your Docman module and navigate to top left corner
2) Click on File
3) Select Acquire Profile Setup
4) Click Add
5) Proceed to name your profile anything you'd like
6) Under the dropdown menu next to Acquire Source, select your TWAIN driver/Scanner.
Alert
Avoid selecting any option that begins with WIA! Although it is listed as an option, eMDs will not work with WIA drivers!
7) Set the Color Format to be Monochrome
8) Set the DPI value to 200
9) If your scanner is capable, you can toggle double-sided scanner on or off here using the checkbox.
10) Press Save and close out of the Acquire Profiles window
11) Your scanning icons should now be illuminated.
12) There is a small down arrow beside your Scanner Icon! Right-click on it to set your Default Source. This step will only need to be done once.

Those are the steps to set up your scanner!
