EPCS Provider & Pharmacy Registration Guides

EPCS Provider & Pharmacy Registration Guides

In order to be registered for Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) the following must be done:

  1. e-MDs must have a paid order for EPCS.
  2. e-MDs must have the required paperwork completed and received.
  3. e-MDs must complete their setup, so that the provider can start the Solution Series SureScript Administrator 'invite' registration process.  This can take e-MDs between 30-60 days from the initial order and paper work being received.(The following attachments are used after all three of the above tasks have been completed.)

Due to the confidential security identification required to successfully register a licensed physician for EPCS, registration cannot be delegated to another staff member.  Physicians must complete setup of their security passphrase and identity proofing.  In addition to creating a unique EPCS security passphrase to successfully send EPCS, there will be username and password login information created for DrFirst Gold Dashboard access. This Dashboard login is required to complete the final identity proofing registration step and for future access to update or change existing EPCS information.
